Compare · Workshops vs certification

Claude Code workshops vs assessed certification.

Competitor facts checked 6 October 2026

The short version

A workshop teaches a team how to work with Claude Code. An assessed certification checks, afterwards, who can actually do it. Workshops are usually quicker and more intensive. Our track adds a proctored repository task and a verifiable credential. If you only need people trained fast, a workshop may be enough.

What workshops do well

claudeworkshop.com describes its trainers as official Claude Code ambassadors running hands-on workshops for engineering teams, built around a Delegate, Review, Own framework, and delivered onsite, virtually or offsite. claudeimplementation.com lists a two-day Claude Code developer bootcamp, with a cap of 12 developers, plus other Claude programmes. A short, focused session is often the quickest way to change habits across a team, and a small group size means more personal attention.

What a workshop doesn't tell you

From the pages we checked, the workshops don't describe a closing assessment or credential. That's fine if the goal is training. It leaves open the question many engineering leaders actually have: weeks later, who can reliably review an agent's diff and keep it inside the task's scope? Attendance doesn't answer that.

What our track adds, and what it costs you

Our assessment puts each engineer in a live repository, watched by an assessor, and issues a credential with a verifiable ID. The trade-off is time and process: it's a cohort programme with a formal assessment, not a one-off session, and failing is possible by design.

A practical approach for some teams is to run a workshop first and then use an assessment on the people who'll work in sensitive repositories.

Who each option is best for

A workshop fits if

  • You want a fast, intensive session
  • Training is the goal, not a credential
  • Your team is small enough for a 10 to 12 person bootcamp

Our track fits if

  • You need evidence per engineer
  • You'll show the result to clients, HR or auditors
  • Engineers will work in production repositories

What to know about us before you compare

  • Our credential is independent. Anthropic does not issue or endorse it, and it does not count toward Anthropic partner tiers.
  • We quote per cohort and don't publish a price list or pass rates.
  • We are new. Our cohorts so far are with companies, not yet with colleges.

Frequently asked questions

Do Claude Code workshops include an assessment?

The pages we checked for claudeworkshop.com and claudeimplementation.com don't describe one for their Claude Code sessions. Ask each provider directly, since details may be available on a sales call.

How much do Claude Code workshops cost?

The provider pages we checked don't publish prices, so we don't quote any here. Request quotes from each provider and compare them with ours.

Can we do a workshop and then certify?

Yes. A workshop can raise baseline skills, and an independent assessment can then verify who is ready to work in your repositories.

Not sure which route fits your team?

Tell us how many engineers and what you need to prove. We'll say honestly whether our track, Anthropic's, or something else fits.
