Sthuthi vs Anthropic's Claude certification.

Competitor facts checked 6 October 2026

The short version

They answer different questions. Anthropic's certifications are official credentials for the wider Claude platform, mostly for partner organisations. Sthuthi's track is an independent assessment of how your own engineers use Claude Code in a repository. Many organisations will want both, and Anthropic's exams are the only ones that count toward Anthropic partner tiers.

What Anthropic offers

Anthropic runs a Claude Certification Program with four proctored exams, delivered through Pearson VUE. The one that names Claude Code is Claude Certified Developer – Foundations, which costs $125 per exam. Pearson VUE states that certification is open to organisations in the Claude Partner Network and counts toward partner program standing, with up to four attempts per exam in any rolling 12 months.

For partner consultants, Anthropic also offers the Claude Partner Badge: Claude Code, a free path of eight courses, a capstone and a 34-question scenario assessment, taking about 12 hours of coursework plus 10 to 15 hours of practice. Its focus is scoping, deploying, configuring and running Claude Code for clients. Anthropic's free Claude Code 101 and Claude Code in Action courses are open to everyone.

What Sthuthi offers

We run cohort training, then a proctored task in a live repository. The engineer directs Claude Code through a scoped change and explains their review of the diff, including scope, dependencies and permissions, to a human assessor before it merges. Each pass gets a credential with a unique ID that an employer or client can check with us.

Which one should you choose?

If you want Anthropic's name on a credential, or you are a services firm working toward Anthropic partner tiers, take Anthropic's exams. Nothing we issue counts toward those tiers, and we don't claim it does.

If your question is whether your own engineers can use Claude Code safely against your repositories, Anthropic's exams don't measure that directly, because they're built to validate broader Claude skills. That's the gap our assessment is designed for. It's also open to companies outside the partner network.

  • Many organisations will do both: Anthropic's exams for the partner team, an independent assessment for the wider engineering bench.
  • Use Anthropic's free courses as pre-work for either route.

Where we fall short

Our credential is newer and less widely recognised than Anthropic's. We don't publish pass rates or a price list. Our cohorts so far are with companies, and we have no placement or hiring data to offer.

Who each option is best for

Choose Anthropic's route if

  • You're in the Claude Partner Network
  • You need Anthropic's credential or partner-tier credit
  • You want to validate broad Claude platform skills

Choose Sthuthi if

  • You need your own engineers assessed in a repository
  • You're not a partner organisation
  • You want a credential someone can verify with us

What to know about us before you compare

  • Our credential is independent. Anthropic does not issue or endorse it, and it does not count toward Anthropic partner tiers.
  • We quote per cohort and don't publish a price list or pass rates.
  • We are new. Our cohorts so far are with companies, not yet with colleges.

Frequently asked questions

Is Sthuthi's certification official or endorsed by Anthropic?

No. It's an independent credential from Sthuthi Technologies. Describe it as "certified through Sthuthi Technologies' Claude Code programme", not "Anthropic certified".

Does your certification count toward Anthropic partner tiers?

No. Only Anthropic's own certifications count toward partner tiers.

Should we do both?

If you're a partner organisation, often yes. Use Anthropic's exams for partner standing and an independent assessment to verify how engineers work in your repositories.

Not sure which route fits your team?

Tell us how many engineers and what you need to prove. We'll say honestly whether our track, Anthropic's, or something else fits.
